You can find many definitions of what is phonetics, and it is really hard to decide which one is the best. That’s why I chose six definitions that in their particular way address important aspects of what is phonetics and what studying phonetics involves.

It is one of the subjects that I like because there are words that do not know how to pronounce it and thanks to the phonetic is pronounced as properly.

Phonics is important to us because it helps us improve our pronunciation and improve our English. also gives us the capacity to learn the sound of each symbol and thus as we can utter a word either in English or other languages due the IPA.

I think phonetic is important because it allow us to have a good pronunciation and then we can communicate our ideas better, and the people around us can understand us. Phonetic give us the chance to learn different phonetic symbols and its correct pronunciation.

ReplyDeleteENRIQUE BARRERA: The phonetics are important for me, it's interesting the knowledge, not only in english language, all the languages have the same phonetics, only for 2 o 3 differences of symbols. I think that is important too for guide the pronunciation so clearly, but it's difficult for the vowels and the consonant rules, make it "special" kind of us. It will be interesting. I feel ready for it.

ReplyDeleteHELLO! In the second class we were comment the classification of consonant sounds, and going to lab work and remember the pronunciation. i think phonetics is the study of the sounds of human speech , its help us have a good undertanding and idea in a Word.
ReplyDeleteIn the third class, the profesor explain the vowel sound and we going to lab work and saw videos about vowel sounds.I consider that the importance of vowels is distinguishing one word from another varies from language to language.
